# These Indian poets were able to write poetry couplets based on only 1 or 2 consonants?

कौन से कवि थे, भारतीय इतिहास में, जिन्होंने कुछ ऐसे दोहे लिख दिखाए जो लगभग असंभव थे। अब इसको कवि माघ ने एक दोहे में लिखा:
“श्रीकृष्ण, प्रत्येक वरदान देने वाले, दुष्ट बुद्धि वालों के संहारक, पवित्र करने वाले, जिनकी भुजाएँ दूसरों को कष्ट देने वाले दुष्टों का विनाश करती हैं, उन्होंने शत्रु के विरुद्ध अपना अस्त्र उठाया।”
**दाददो दुद्ददुद्दादी दाददो दूददीददोः |** **दुद्दादं दददे दुद्दे दादाददददोऽददः ||**
फिर यह भी देखिए:
“वह मनुष्य नहीं है जो किसी हीन द्वारा पराजित हो; वह मनुष्य भी मनुष्य नहीं है जो अपने से दुर्बल को सताता है। जिसका नेता पराजित नहीं होता, यद्यपि दबा दिया गया हो, वह वास्तव में पराजित नहीं होता; जो पूर्णतः पराजित को सताता है, वह पाप से रहित नहीं है।”
इसको केवल एक व्यंजन/consonant का इस्तेमाल करके देखिए कवि भैरवी जी ने कैसे लिखा:
" **न नान्नानुन्नो नुन्नोनो नाना नानानना ननु |** **नुन्नोऽनुन्नो ननुन्नेनो नानेना नुन्ननुन्ननुत् ||**"
These poets were part of the _Mahakavya_ (Great Epic) tradition. To prove their absolute mastery over the Sanskrit language, they included “puzzle” cantos (usually the 15th canto in their epics). Other feats in these chapters include:
- **Sarvatobhadra:** A verse that reads the same horizontally, vertically, forwards, and backwards.
- **Niroshthya:** Verses written without using any labial sounds (no letters that require the lips to touch, like _pa, pha, ba, bha, ma_).
- **Knight’s Tour (Ashvapada):** Verses that, when placed on a chessboard, reveal a different meaning when read in the pattern of a knight’s move.
